When I was first asked to attend the LDC training, there was very little description about what it actually entailed. The email read something along the lines of, “Would you like to attend a training on
how to implement more writing into your social studies content?” I thought it was going to be no big deal—like, having students write a pretend news article or answer an open-ended response on a test. I signed up without a second thought.
